Estrella Betancor, originally from Gran Canaria (Spain), moved to Berlin in 2005 and that same year started her artistic career through the oil painting and watercolor.

Estrella Betancor paints with passion and inspiration. Based primarily self-taught, her passion for painting has accompanied her since childhood. In the watercolor technique, she has developed her knowledge by attending various art courses in Berlin (Germany) and with masterful watercolour classes at the School of Art Luján Pérez, Gran Canaria (Spain).

Her studies as Bachelor in Tourism and Master of Environmental Management, her passion for travels and an intercultural work environment, influenced her artistic career as a wonderful way of expressing feelings and impressions of life and build bridges between different cultures. 

The evocative landscape, rippling water, the simplicity of the objects, the tenderness of the people, stones, light and colors are the subjects of her art works. Brush and paint are attached to her soul, so her realistic art works show a serene calm and invite to contemplation.

Currently working professionally in her painting studio in Berlin (Germany), has exposed many times in Spain and Germany and participated in quick painting contests outdoors (Spain). Coordinator of several intercultural art events in Berlin.

Member of the Canary Association of Watercolourists (Asociación Canaria de Acuarelistas –A.C.A.) since 2010.

Member of the Deutsche Aquarell Gesellschaft - German Watercolour Society eV since 2014.
